Xbox One $50 Holiday Price Cut Starts November 2nd, COD And Assassin’s Creed Bundles Tempt Gamers And Geeks

Microsoft’s Pro Surface 3 tablet has been doing well, but it has been a while since the company has said anything concrete, sales-wise, regarding its Xbox One console. While it revealed during its fiscal Q1 FY15 earnings report that 2.4 million Xbox units were sold over the last several months, the company failed to specify how many Xbox 360s or Xbox Ones were sold. However, Microsoft is looking to make a splash by announcing a holiday promotion that will give the Xbox One and its bundles a $50 price cut.

The temporary price drop will occur at most retailers and will be start on November 2nd with Microsoft offering theXbox One standalone console for $349 instead of $399. But in addition, there are also several bundles such as the Assassin’s Creed Bundle without the Kinect for $349 and with the Kinect for $449 that comes with Assassin’s Creed: Unity, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, and Dance Central Spotlight. Other bundles includes the Sunset Overdrive Bundle for $349 while the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Bundle will cost $449 but comes with a 1TBhard drive, limited edition exoskeleton, and a digital copy of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Day Zero Edition.

As for now, the holiday deal is only available in the United States at participating retailers such as Walmart, Best Buy, Microsoft Stores, Target, and Amazon. A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed the US-only deal to Eurogamersaying, “Decisions about promotional and pricing strategies are made at a local level and based on market context. We have nothing more to announce at this time.”

However, Microsoft’s announcement does state that “regional availability and timing outside the US will vary” which could mean that other territories could potentially have their own sales for the holidays.

The Xbox One holiday price cut will last from November 2nd and end on January 3, 2015.
