Good news for PC gamers who have wanted to use the Xbox One’s controller on the PC.Microsoft has announced that it is releasing a wired Xbox One controller for the PC platform this November.
Just in time for the holidays, the controller was designed for use with Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 PCs. Simply connect the controller via its USB cable and it will automatically update and be ready to use. However, the wireless function is not usable for the PC platform though the controller itself can be hooked up to an Xbox One as a wireless or wired controller.
It has taking Microsoft some time to finally release an Xbox One controller designed specifically for the PC. Back in May, amidst speculation that Microsoft was not developing any drivers, the company assured gamers that support for the controller was coming soon. Drivers were then released back in June following a month after that announcement was made.
The Xbox One controller for Windows will retail for $60.
