Acer has announced consolidated revenues of NT$29.85 billion (US$994.87 million) for August, up 18.9% on month and 5.2% on year, while combined consolidated revenues from January-August 2014 reached NT$213.04 billion, down 11.43% on year.
Some component makers expect Acer's shipments in the third quarter to grow 20-30% sequentially as its component supply has started to become stable.
In addition to conventional notebooks, Acer expects 2-in-1 devices to become the growth driver. Acer's new Switch 11 2-in-1 device will be launched next month, with a starting price at US$399.
